  • Women’s Circles – Presbyterians are known for Women’s “Circles,” and First Presbyterian is no exception in that our Women in Ministry have three active Circles:
    • The Morning Circle – This Circle meets on the 2nd Monday of each month, at 10:00am in the Ladies Parlor. It is led by Shirley Stephenson.
    • The Noon Circle – This Circle meets on the 1st Monday of each month at 12:00 Noon in the Fellowship Hall’s extension, located behind the Kitchen. This Circle is led by Sis Clark.
    • The Night Circle (now known as the Night Bible Study for Women) – This group meets on the 2nd Monday night at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall’s extension, located behind the Kitchen. This Bible Study Group is led by Betty Vise.
  • The Tuesday Morning Bible Study – This opportunity for women of all ages meets each Tuesday at 9:30am in the Ladies Parlor. This Bible Study Group is led by Donna Payne.
  • Refuge Christian Recovery – This support group is a Christian alternative to Al-Anon, and is a Christ-centered ministry to family members of alcoholics and addicts. This group is led by Charlie Geer, and it meets every Tuesday at 12:00 Noon in the Administration Building, on the 2nd Floor. On the first Tuesday of each month, the meeting is 90 minutes in duration, while the remaining Tuesdays of the month meet for 60 minutes.
  • Christian Counseling – Everyone struggles in life. Admitting you have a struggle is the first step to getting the help you need. And oftentimes such an admission leads to people acknowledging the need for godly counsel from a trained Christian professional, to assist the person struggling with finding help and hope. This new ministry (which operates on a sliding fee-scale) begins on Monday, September 22nd, and will be available each Monday by appointment through the church office. Andrew Hurley, who has a Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, is the counselor who will be driving to Meridian each Monday to offer his services to our church and community. For more information, contact our Pastor at the church office.
